Jamie Saettele is the Technical Currency Analyst at FXCM. In addition to writing daily technical commentaries on the seven major currency pairs as well as currency crosses, he is also responsible for trading strategy development at FXCM. As a former lead FX Power Course Instructor, Jamie has extensive knowledge of technical analysis and is deeply involved in developing and backtesting automated trading systems.
His keen understanding of the quantitative framework behind a variety of technical indicators allows him to offer a unique perspective on price action to the readers of dailyfx.com. Jamie was a graduate of Bucknell University where he helped to manage a portion of the school’s endowment. He is also an active currency trader employing both discretionary and systematic approaches to the FX market. |

Leo is a market and business strategist for SilverSand International. He has traded as a market maker on the NASDAQ, as well as traded for independent firms as an investment advisor. He has taught investment management, financial management I and II, personal finance, and technical analysis all at the university level. Currently he is licensed as a General Securities Representative, Registered Investment Advisor and an Equity Trader Limited Representative.
For the past 14 years, before joining SilverSand International he was a financial consultant to investors and private managers. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and is pursuing a PhD in finance with a specialization in Technical Analysis. He has written several finance papers on the history of the markets and the benefits of utilizing technical analysis as a successful trading methodology. His passion is studying and trading highly volatile markets as a proprietary trader. Currently he is developing a series of three online courses to aid students in achieving their Chartered Market Technicians Certification through the Market Technicians Association. |
